Seal 1A probe head that properly seals around a sample surface yields the best analysis results especially when analyzing for Carbon, Phosphorus and Sulfur. On rounded convex surfaces the face of a probe doesn’t fully seal around the piping surface. To achieve the proper seal adapters and seals must be used to mitigate light escaping from the probe face.

seal 2Seals are made of a rubber material that fit into the face of the probe and retain argon with-in the probe face. Adapters  are constructed of ceramic or custom machined from stainless steel to fit specific tubing diameters and applications.
