GNR Explorer: Multi-Purpose High-Resolution X-Ray Diffractometer
The Explorer is a multi-purpose Theta/Theta high-resolution X-ray diffractometer with direct-drive torque motors — delivering top analytical performance across phase analysis, microstructural characterization, thin film analysis, residual stress, and more.
Thanks to its modular design and an extensive range of accessories, the Explorer supports multiple measurement configurations: XPD, XRR, GIXRD, HRXRD, TXRF, Residual Stress, and Texture XRD. The modular architecture allows you to start with an entry-level system and upgrade as requirements evolve.
Three predefined measuring circle diameters (400, 500, 600 mm) and interchangeable components without extra alignment provide extraordinary flexibility. High-brilliant X-ray sources, multiple detector options (SDD, multi-strip 1D/2D, scintillation), and a full range of sample holders support virtually unlimited application configurations.
Measurement modes: XPD · XRR · GIXRD · HRXRD · TXRF · Residual Stress · Texture XRD · SAXS
Application areas: Phase quantification · Microstructural properties · Residual stress · Preferred orientation · Thin films · Retained austenite · Structure solution and refinement
