Hitachi X-MET8000: Handheld XRF for Rapid, Accurate Materials Analysis
The Hitachi X-MET8000 delivers rapid, accurate chemistry across a wide array of materials — from solid and powder metals to polymers, soil, and minerals — in a rugged, ergonomic handheld form factor built for daily field use.
The X-MET8000 is practical, rugged, and easy to use. Its light, ergonomic design is comfortable for all-day use, and the nose geometry is engineered to reach inside bends and corners. Using Hitachi’s HERO™ window (heat resistant), the X-MET8000 can accurately analyze alloys up to 400°C.
Available in three configurations: Smart (routine identification of common alloys), Optimum (high-speed grade ID from aluminum to steel), and Expert (ultimate performance for the widest alloy range with superior light elements Mg, Al, Si, P, S analysis). All models are IP54 rated, MIL-STD-810G compliant, and weigh 1.5 kg with 10–12 hour battery life.
