Ernst TWIN-X: Fully Automated Rockwell Hardness Tester for Production Line Use
The TWIN-X is a fully automated Rockwell and Super Rockwell hardness tester engineered for production line efficiency — handling large workpieces up to 420 mm (standard) with a spring-loading system that cuts each test cycle by up to 10 seconds.
The TWIN-X’s innovative spring system outperforms traditional load cell systems, saving 12 minutes per hour — nearly two hours every working day. With a 45 mm indenter stroke, it handles varying material thicknesses without manual adjustment. A built-in safety device retracts the indenter to protect against misaligned pieces.
The screw unit can be removed for larger parts like molds and castings, and a +500 mm stand version accommodates pieces up to 950 mm in height. The detachable measuring head integrates directly into production line control systems.
