Windows 10 Upgrade

Is your operating system in need of an update? If you are using Windows 7 as your PC operating system, the software will need to be upgraded by the end of the year. Starting on January 14, 2020, Windows 7 will cease support of the operating system.

If you do not upgrade your system before January 14, the software will not work on many old operating systems, and it will be vulnerable to hacks and viruses. Verichek recommends upgrading to Windows 10. Windows 10 was released on July 29, 2015, and is the most recent and up to date OS for PCs. Upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 is the smoothest transition.

The following instruments support Windows 10:

Oxford Foundry Master Pro

All Oxford Foundry Master Pro instruments will support the upgrade as long as they fit the following requirements:

• Regular desktop PC with at least one free PCI slot
• A new PC is NOT required, the existing one can be used, in most instances

Hitachi Test Master Pro

All Hitachi Test Master Pro instruments will support the upgrade as long as they fit the following requirements:

• Regular motherboard with at least one free PCI slot.
• A new PC is NOT required, the existing one can be used, if it is MB BL630 or newer.

Oxford Foundry Master Ultra-Violet

ONLY instruments from serial number 01N0007 and up can be upgraded to Windows 10 (32 or 64 bit). They also must fit the following requirements:

• Regular desktop PC or laptop with at least one free USB port.

Oxford Foundry Master Compact

ONLY instruments from serial number 10M0027 and up can be upgraded to Windows 10 (32 or 64 bit). They also must fit the following requirements:

• Regular desktop PC or laptop with at least one free USB port.

Oxford PMI Master Pro

ONLY instruments from serial number 13M0101 and up can be upgraded to Windows 10 (32 bit only). They also must fit the following requirements:

• Internal Wafer computer, supplied by Verichek.
• A new computer is NOT required, the existing one can be used.
